SENIOR SESSION | JOCELYN
I met up with Jocelyn and her mom in Historic Mesilla to start the session. We wandered through the streets and used the spring flowers and textures of the plaza. From the roses, the movement, to those quiet in-between moments, and it turned into the kind of storytelling session I love most. It felt relaxed, but still really intentional, which is always the goal for me.
After that, we drove out to the Organ Mountains just in time for sunset, when the light gets super soft and glowy. There’s something about a spring sunset in Southern New Mexico that feels so dreamy and cinematic.
Throughout the session we mixed in personalization to tell her story: a letterman jacket for those classic high school memories, a western-inspired look that felt so true to the landscape, and of course cap and gown photos to celebrate such a huge milestone. One of my favorite moments was shooting out on the road with the mountains rising in the background—it had such a cinematic, editorial feel.
